Jeannnette Glass Company

The 3412/P Wedding bowl (Photo 11) is also shown with a feathered gold decoration. Notice that both lids are painted in a slightly different manner. One thing that may not have been noticed by the decorators until it was too late, is the fact that by placing the lid on the wedding bowl, the gold feathering around the rim disappears!

The 3435/P Lombardi bowl (Photo 12) would be quite mundane except for two items. First of all there is a hand painted gold feather decoration around the top rim of the entire bowl. Secondly, the inside of the bowl has a continuation of the pattern on the side. This pattern can be seen in Photo 13.

The last item is a long necked bottle. This bottle has a fat base with vertical ribs. The bottle had a screw cap at one point, but has been lost to history. The shape of this bottle reminds me of the bottle that the genie slept in on the old TV program "I Dream of Jeannie". This piece is not documented in any of the Jeannette literature.

I am sure there are more surprises in Shell Pink just waiting to be found by collectors. This is what keeps all of the dealers and collectors going from market to market and shop to shop. We never know what is around the next bend! Happy Hunting.
